Story here. Dr. Richard B. Hoover’s paper in the Journal of Cosmology is available online here. This will be incredible, if it can be verified. According to the NASA web site, Hoover does work for them, and leads the Astrobiology Group at Marshall Space Center. So this claim isn’t coming from some internet kook.
Similar claims have been made before, however, and none of them have held up to scrutiny. The facts that the claimed alien fossils are very similar to known terrestrial species, and that the meteorites were collected from the Earth’s surface rather than in space suggest that we should approach this cautiously. And yet I can’t help hoping that this turns out to be real.
